Ronald Weinland Serves Another Scoop of Boredom

A Prophet’s Log (Flush)
A Final Plea, With Judgment Pt 3 (Summary)
Countdown: 438 Days
Remaining Sabbaths: 56
Fulfilled Prophecies: 0
Ron’s Death Toll: 0

False prophet Ronald Weinland spoke from Spokane, WA this Sabbath. And he repeated some very old an worn out themes… Christmas… bad… Easter… bad… Blah, blah, blah, blah….

Is this the kind of ‘teaching’ the Two Witnesses would do?

Ron complained about the need for locks on doors because we live in a ‘sick perverted world’ Blah, blah, blah, blah…. Funny… Ron said feces… and the connection dropped. Then he developed an affection for the word. Sabbath… Blah, blah, blah, blah….

Cool video of the week

Tick Tock.

The Andrew G. slide rule correction for cats who can't subtract very well... 433 days and 62 Sabbaths remain.

Your time runs short, Ron Weinland. Judgment day is coming.

You haven't said much at all about what he said, it must have been reeeaaalllyy boring.

Anyway... 4 more weeks and we all have only 12 months left. 12 months for everyhting to be packed into including the death of all those ministers. It's going to be an action packed year by all accounts...

Ironically, many of the other CoG splinters are getting all excited, with all the recent major disasters and unrest in the Middle East. We've even got the U.S. handing over some form of military authority to Europeans, well, sort of, anyway--Armstrongism always requires a lot of creativity in interpreting world events, but it's usually a lot harder than it is now to make anything fit.

So you'd expect Ron to be all geared up, but no, he's blathering on about Exodus 17 and Christmas and Easter. I think that maybe in distancing himself so much from the original Armstrong teachings, he seems to have gotten himself in the situation where the more they seem (for the moment) to have some shred of validity, the less valid his departure from them seems to be. So perhaps Ron hasn't made a big deal out of recent events, because doing so would actually help his main competitors.

I've always thought that one of the main reasons why Ron's followers haven't gone elsewhere could be that there just hasn't been any worthwhile new form of Armstrongite sensationalism for them to latch on to. The stuff from the other splinters has been heavily recycled, so it just does not have much appeal. But perhaps now, with some renewed excitement elsewhere in CoG-land, we might see a new alternative emerge. If so, it will be interesting to see what happens to Ron's followers.

Andrew is saying the CoG people are looking for a revival or a renewal or maybe even a reformation of some kind.

God is more interested in revolution. Like with david at Hebron, he's revolutionising not reviving whats flagging. No new thing that has even an inkling of CoG or Armstrong or anything connected to it, will satify those people because what they really need is a revolution in their lives and minds, souls and spirits and there are few men on earth that can provide that for them, but they are around if people will stop trying to find something better but 'like' what they are used to.

Throw out the garbage, clean house and stop whitewashing what is dead and gone even though RW is trying to put clothes on a corpse and say 'look - it lives!'

Look in unusual places and see revolution is already here.

Funny… Ron said feces… and the connection dropped

I remember laughing when he said feces and his connection immediately dropped. It was almost like someone used a call-in-radio-show censor button.
