Prophet Ronald Weinland: "I Speak As A Fool..."

A Prophet’s Log (Flush)
A Unity of Belief Pt. 1 (Summary)
Countdown: 1006 Days
Remaining Sabbaths: 144
Fulfilled Prophecies: 0

Windsor, CT.
The forecast is for MORE WAITING.
Dill Weed, Jr. beat Ron by a cat neck in the poll. (Heh-heh-heh) I'm so proud of him!
There is a reluctance to sit up front. Is Ron belching holy smoke? The guy giving the prayer twice asks God to help them “drink in mightily.” (Of Ron's words. Eyeroll. Drink mightily, belch mightily, says I.)
Someone drove 12 ½ hours to get there. That’s commitment. Crazy, committed and Canadian. Someone had a heart attack; however, it was not someone Ron had cursed. Someone’s father died; also not someone that Ron had cursed.
We are 36 Sabbaths into the final 3 ½ years. (And nothing continues to happen.) By Trumpets, we’ll be 40th Sabbaths in. Ron hints at ‘hearing’ about something on Trumpets because of the 'significance' of the number 40? (More whispers from God into his mind?)
Ron feels for some of his mockers who don’t know what they are doing. (Forgive them for they know not what they do? Nah. Ron would smite them IF he could.)
The 1st Trumpet blast is not yet complete. There has been a tremendous loss of wealth and more will be lost. Ron says the physical stuff will happen later. No great physical destruction has been observed and some followers are ‘letting down their guard.’ The waiting for some is too much. I’m waiting, Ron. I’m waiting, watching and listening.
You can’t see it on your own. Blah, blah, blah, blah…. He’s pulling the wool over their empty, dead eyes. I wonder how much longer this will work. You must be meek and have a teachable spirit. Blah, blah, blah, blah….
Ron pontificates so much on humility that he goes horse and needs water. Ron is tickled pink that destruction delays. (You bet he is, but he is sweating, too.)
Ron hints about change related to technology- specifically Face book – for the protection of the brethren. Stay off mocker blogs? Don’t e-hang out with Dill Weed and Dill Weed, Jr.? : ( No!!!
Here we go. The TRUTH only comes through Ron. There are no other teachers just two prophets and elders, no pastors, no teachers. No competing voices. This gives unity of belief a scary meaning.
The worst case scenario (evaluating PKG-COG and therefore, really himself) as played out by Ron ("speaking as a fool"):
"What if I am not a prophet, what if I am just an apostle?" Ron denies this right out of the box and reaffirms his claim to prophethood. *yawn*
Clarification of worst case scenario:
The remark about the "worst case scenario" was Ron "playing the fool" who was evaulating PKG-COG (really himself). This was supposed to be the worst case scenario FROM a member's perspective as Ron was attempting to substitute HIS thinking for their own.
Ron then asked the question, "What if I am not a prophet and am JUST an apostle?" (WTF?!)
His answer paraphrased:
I am a prophet. I am certain of it. HWA was the last apostle. In the church there are the two prophets and elders. No teachers, no pastors.
In answering his own question, Ron re-asserted his claim to prophethood and closed the door on the possibility of backing out of it to a lesser position.
Ron cinched the rope around his neck tighter re-committing to the current timeline, acknowledging physical destruction is not happening, and cutting off the possibility of backing out of his claim to prophethood via an apoligetic, apostolic, backdoor retreat. When you think about it, there is really no going back.
It is all or nothing - reaffirmed by Ron. An intriguing game of spiritual chicken, I'd say.
He didn't even consider his being a false prophet as the worst case scenario though(!) Too much to bear? Didn't want to go there in his consideration? Doesn't want members contemplating that possiblility?
How about you actually are a false prophet profiteering off deluded, but sincere individuals, Ron?

Tick Tock.
Your time runs short, Ron Weinland. Judgment day is coming.

"What if I am not a prophet, what if I am just an apostle?"

If Ron said that then he has entered the stage of doubts about himself. One would only say this to send the message, "I could have been wrong, but still am an Apostle so don't go away.."

This quote speaks volumns of the fact that he is beginning to crack as to his status. He wants to come out still qualified to be who he thinks he is and this quote is planting the escape clause.

tick tick tick...

Dennis,

I didn't included enough information. : /

The remark was about the "worst case scenario" and Ron "played the fool who was evaulating PKG-COG (really himself). This was supposed to be from the worst case scenario FROM his perspective.

Ron asked the question, "What if I am not a prophet and am JUST an apostle?"

His answer paraphrased:

I am a prophet. I am certain of it. HWA was the last apostle. In the church there are the two prophets and elders. No teachers, no pastors.

Ron is a copy cat. He's trying to be like Paul, who said "allow me to be foolish" and "I speak as a fool". When Paul writes those words I understand what he is saying as he continues on.

When Ron says "I speak as a fool", I cannot help but laugh. Because of my personal faith and beliefs, I cannot call him a fool, so I am glad he said it himself. I can however, call him a deluded, lying, thieving, false, selfish man.

I speak as a fool -- Ronald Weinland circa 2009
I know it is taken out of context, but it certainly is fitting, considering the situation he has put himself in.

Okay. One more quote before I go.

"Tick Tock....your time runs short"

if rw is talking this stuff during a sermon, i would guess that the rumblings have started in his church....others, maybe elders or the like are starting to discuss a revolt possibly...or trying to talk some sense into him stepping down a notch....
just a theory on my part...

it also seems that he's dipping his toe in to test the waters on his prophesy skills again....LOL

He knows his house of cards is crumbling...he built it on sand and he knows it.
tick tock tick tock

Hi DW

I think you'll like this story. Saturday I had a 18yr old doing some yardwork for me. At 2:30 I started listening to Ron's "sermon", and the kid asked me what I was listening to. So I explained I listen to preachers and write a critique of them. Specifically Ron, and how he tells everyone the world is going to end and they won't be saved unless they join his church and send in money. Ten percent of their paychecks is required.

His response made me laugh so i wrote it down word for word:

"Why do they believe him, are they stupid?"

Wisdom from the mouth of babes.
I'm pretty sure this kid has never set foot in a church, unless for a wedding or funeral.

But it was a common sense answer from a teenage firewood cutter.

Common sense is not all that common.

I'm at a loss for words. I submit this site for your analysis.

jack,
LOL...WOW....just when you think you've seen it all...

Todd,

Although the concept is hillarious to me, the site is not a joke. They are actually making money off people who believe in the rapture.

It backs up my point that there is a flavor of religion for every personality. People are not stupid, just deceived. There are probably people with above average intelligence following Ron. It's all in the power of the deception, not ones I.Q.

Having a confirmed atheist taking care of your pet while you are raptured away is indeed funny. But what if that atheist turns your pet into a pagan?

OMG - that site is a CLASSIC.

It's so sad, and so funny at the same time.

Ya, it's like the actors logo of the two masks; tragedy and comedy.
Even in that flavor of religion, there are high IQ people like doctors and lawyers who have paid for a contract. Religion can be a powerful poison.

Jack asked: "But what if that atheist turns your pet into a pagan?"

That brings to mind another question: What religion is Dill Weed Jr? Cat-holic maybe?
